Spirit of Tasmania, with support from Tourism Tasmania, has created a new campaign to inspire people to explore their passion for food, wine, nature, culture and adventure in Tasmania.
The ‘Be a Spirited Adventurer’ campaign, which launched this week, is an extension of the successful ‘Be a Spirited Traveller’ brand campaign which appeals to the adventurous side of spirited travellers who like to travel in their own way. The new campaign takes this concept one step further inviting travellers to complete a quiz identifying which spirited adventurer they are based on the travel experiences that inspire them and unlocking content tailored around their favourite activities.
Underpinning the campaign are driving itineraries, travel blogs, top local tips and videos to excite every type of adventurer, including experiences across six categories: food, wine, bushwalking, culture, nature and thrill seeking adventures. The campaign showcases the best established and emerging tourism providers across Tasmania.
Spirit of Tasmania Chief Executive Officer Bernard Dwyer said the ‘Be a Spirited Adventurer’ campaign identified with the main reasons people loved Tasmania.
“Tasmania has so much to offer; more and more people are discovering that the state has some of the best experiences in the country,” he said.
“Through this campaign we are highlighting that Tasmania has the most incredible food and wine, unparalleled natural beauty, talented and creative locals and an array of unforgettable experiences.
“All of these experiences are so accessible and that’s what makes Tasmania the ideal state for driving holidays. In just a few hours you can travel from the mountains to the beach, stopping for a leisurely lunch at a winery in between.”
John Fitzgerald, Chief Executive Officer at Tourism Tasmania, said the campaign was a great way to shine a light on Tasmania’s ‘behind the scenery’ visitor experiences and show how easy it is to discover the people, places, experiences and attractions that make our state so special.
“Tasmania’s popularity continues to soar and a record number of holiday makers are taking the opportunity to get here and experience in their own way, our special places where local stories live and breathe.”
Each person who completes the ‘Be a Spirited Adventurer’ quiz can also enter the draw to win one of six spirited adventures. Each prize pack is valued at more than $5,000 and includes accommodation, experiences and travel on Spirit of Tasmania.
