Corporate Communications’ new director, Adrian Smith.

I am writing to formally advise about a key appointment Corporate Communications has made recently.

Adrian Smith has joined the business as a Director this week.

Adrian has spent the past 15 years as a senior marketing and communication manager with some of Tasmania’s iconic brands, including Chickenfeed Bargain Stores, Hazell Bros, TasWater and Ten Days on the Island.

Adrian started his career in copy writing and creative advertising before successfully moving into the retail sector, delivering hundreds of television, catalogue, print, direct mail and point of sale campaigns.

Having worked in large organisations, he has a strong interest in change management and internal communication, creating numerous people-focused campaigns.

He has also delivered many successful business-to-business marketing and communication campaigns across a multitude of diverse sectors, including building and construction, concrete, quarrying and water and the arts.

Further, Adrian’s strategic and tactical experience in crisis communication, media management, stakeholder relations and community engagement, developed from working on large infrastructure projects and public utility major asset upgrades, will add to the consultancy’s existing significant skill set in these areas.

With 15 years senior management and executive experience, Adrian has sound business judgment and is quick to understand a business, its customers and key stakeholders.

He is a passionate Tasmanian who has lived and worked across the state his whole life.

Outside of his new full-time role at Corporate Communications, he is a board member of the Blue Cow Theatre Company and provides pro bono marketing and communications support to Muscular Dystrophy Tasmania and The Reclink Community Cup.

His broad skills in marketing and communication will support the entire team at Corporate Communications, and I look forward to working with him on your communication solutions.

If you would like to discuss how Adrian may be able to assist, or would like to specifically discuss your communication requirements as we enter the 2017/18 financial year, please do not hesitate to contact me on either 6210 5206 or nicolas.turner@cctas.com.au.
